Small group lessons will also be offered by Coach Duke

Split in to age groups (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18) by sex everyone gets ribbons (1st – 6th) for finishing legally 86 events – 50 or 100 free, 25 or 50 of each stroke (free, back, breast, fly), 100 IM, medley relay, free relay 5-6 only has 3 events – free, back, free relay, done by event 46.
No smoking or alcohol at meets

Parent Volunteers

  • Requirement – parents must work 3 or more meet halves over the course of the season (first half – events 1-43, second half – events 44-86) Volunteers needed at both home and away meets
  • Positions – timer, lane manager, announcer, starter, place judge, hospitality, concession stand, runner, ribbon writer, scorer, heat board, set up crew, clean up crew

Starters must attend a Starter Clinic EITHER Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 A.M. or Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 P.M. at Mountain View Aquatic Center (near Shallowford Rd. and Sandy Plains Rd.)

Committees needed:

  • Volunteer coordinators – arrange volunteers for meets, run volunteer check-in and supplies distribution at meets
  • Concessions – purchase items to sell at home meets (pizza, candy, snacks, Gatorade, water, soda…), run stand at meets
  • Technology – enter data on Team Manager program, enter meet lineup, print labels for meet entries, input data from meet (times, results), print labels for ribbons
  • Team Party – organize end of season party
